The tranquil and beautiful Japanese Gardens at Dinner Bay Park were dedicated in 2002 to those Japanese who settled and developed much of Mayne Island in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia.
It was also the wedding location for Allie and Kaz. Their wedding celebration was divided into two days over two weekends: a private family ceremony witnessed by marriage commissioner Diane Rosenberg at the Japanese Gardens and on the following saturday there was a catered barbecue by Sue Duncan, many fun events including a baseball game, and at sunset a gourmet dinner, catered by Chef Hubertus Surm, at the Dinner Bay Park Shelter for approximately fifty guests.
Both events were incredible and a remarkable witness to the love shared by Allie and Kaz, their families, friends and dog. It was a true privilege to photograph. I wish them all the best!
