This was a special\u00a0visual and intellectual exhibition. Most everyone was interacting with the art through the taking of photographs or videos, including myself.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8442\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nancyangermeyer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/coupland_angermeyer08a.jpg\" alt=\"coupland_angermeyer08a\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"venue cf\">\n<div class=\"m-all t-1of2 d-3of8\">\n<div class=\"inner pull-right\">\n<p class=\"caption\"><em>&#8220;The Brain<\/em>\u00a0focuses on a major new sculpture comprised of 5000 objects the artist has collected over the years, serving as a metaphor for the complicated ways in which the brain functions and calling into question ideas of collecting and collections.&#8221; (copied\u00a0from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.couplandto.ca\">www.couplandto.ca<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p class=\"caption\">A man in a bright orange jump suit unzipped to his navel revealing a hairy chest was walking around studying\u00a0&#8220;The Brain&#8221;. \u00a0A docent had\u00a0previously told me the objects were secured. Making up part of the brain\u00a0was a small\u00a0free standing make-up mirror. I watched the orange jump suit man pick up the mirror and admire himself for a few seconds and then put it down. \u00a0So for being secured.
