To see the daffodils in bloom I visited Thomson Park on Saturna Island. In addition to flowers there is a beautiful well kept orchard that was planted years ago by early settlers to the island, notably Warbuton Pike. Thomson Park is an ideal outdoor location for a wedding celebration. You can come by boat, car, kayak, sailboat, horse, bike or on foot. There is a sandy beach, dock and good anchorage.
Mount Warbuton Pike boasts some of the best views in the Gulf Islands. The original stone foundation of Warburton Pike’s home is still visible and makes a fantastic bocci court or stage to say your vows facing ridge and waterfront. The Saturna Parks and Recreation Commission maintains the Park and charges a minimal fee for its use. Catering is easily accommodated on picnic tables in the shelter or out.
